No-one cares about co-tenancy when it comes to mineral development. Oil and gas companies have no problem splitting the pie and paying royalties to multiple owners.
In fact, when it comes to minerals, co-tenancy is the rule, rather than the exception.
What this means is that you can take a small ownership interest (called a carry) as your commission and earn royalties every month for years — even if you didn’t fund the deal.
